Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What’s the deal with the Medical Biochemistry for USMLE Step 1 Exam course? What is it, and is it only for medical students preparing for the USMLE Step 1 exam?

A: The Medical Biochemistry for USMLE Step 1 Exam course is pretty much what it sounds like. It’s a medical biochemistry video course, made with the intention of helping medical students learn (or re-learn) clinically relevant biochemistry for their step 1 exam. However, it’s not only useful to said medical students. It’s useful for ANYONE who wants to learn medical biochemistry, or even just biochemistry in general. After all, biochemistry is biochemistry, no matter how you look at it.

Q: I’ve noticed your Moof University YouTube channel covers more biochemistry topics than your medical biochemistry course. Why is that? Why don’t you cover all those topics from your YouTube channel in your course?

A: I do, indeed, have more topics covered with the videos on my YouTube channel than I do with my medical biochemistry course. That’s simply because I’m not yet done creating my medical biochemistry course. I’m constantly working on videos to add to the course, and I hope to complete it soon. Be on the look-out for more content being added to the course to eventually match (and surpass) the content coverage on my YouTube channel.

Q: I’ve noticed some of the videos in your course have the exact same titles as some of the videos on your YouTube channel. What’s the story there?

A: Almost all the videos on my course are entirely new. Some course videos are identical (or nearly identical) to some of my YouTube videos, as is the case with my Ketone Bodies series. However, most of the course videos with titles identical to those on YouTube have been edited in some way. In almost every case, the audio quality is improved, and in most cases, mistakes were corrected, and more notes, diagrams, and explanations were added to ensure comprehensiveness.

Q: I’ve seen the price of the medical biochemistry course change. Specifically, for the most part, it’s been increasing. Why?

A: The course is not yet complete. When I add a new batch of videos to the course, the course moves closer to completion and, naturally, becomes more valuable. Hence the price increases as new content is added. Because of this, if you’re interested in purchasing the course, it’s best to purchase it sooner rather than later, as the price will tend to increase as the course nears completion. If you purchase the course today, you’ll have access to all the content that is already part of the course AND any content subsequently added to the course.
